Reception parents were invited to a meeting to help them understand how we teach phonics and how this links to children learning to read. A phonics lesson was modelled and advice on how parents can help their children at home.
Nursery children have been exploring sounds. They sang Old McDonald, chose an animal from the feely bag then identified their chosen animal on the screen.
