Care for Creation- 2024-2025
At Holy Family, we understand the importance of looking after our school, our local community and the wider world. Therefore, we have created a team with a special purpose- to take care of and protect God’s creations.
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
Genesis 1:26
Live Simply Award
Members of the Care for Creation team were pleased to take part in the assessment towards our Live Simply award this September which the school has been working towards over the past year. Together with the Chaplaincy Team and School Council, all of their hard work was presented to the assessors during an interview with the students and we are pleased to announce that have successfully achieved the Live Simply award. This honour would not have been possible without the hard work and determination of the students, leading different initiatives throughout school. Well done everyone!
Our First Mission
Beginning on our first mission, the Care for Creation team have written to Our Lady of Assumption church to offer their service and help. After looking after our school, by organising a litter pick with Mr Wilson, they wanted to help others in the wider community.
