Our Parishes

Holy Family Catholic Primary School is part of two Parishes, the Parish of Our Lady of the Assumption, Stainforth and the Parish of St Joseph and St Nicholas, Moorends.  The churches serve the communities of Stainforth, Hatfield, Thorne, Moorends and the surrounding villages.

The two parishes have much in common, both developed in the 20th century as working-class mining communities with a strong sense of community.

 Fr Joe Okeke is the parish priest for both churches.
