Our emotional health and wellbeing, is all about our thoughts, feelings and our ability to react to life. At Holy Family, we support the emotional health and wellbeing of all the children in our school. We know that everyone experiences lots of different emotions, but at school we want to make positive mental health everyone’s business and we know that everyone has a role to play. We learn about health and wellbeing through our lessons, we talk about it in our assemblies and we know that we always have support at school when we need it. Take a look below, to see all the amazing work we have been doing.

Children's Mental Health Week- 2022
During Children’s Mental Health Week, we will be celebrating with the theme 'Growing Together'. At Holy Family, good mental health is a subject that we revisit continuously throughout the year, but this week we are taking the time to look deeper at how we grow emotionally. To celebrate, we will be holding an assembly to learn how we grow together and each class will have a special mission to complete. We can’t wait to share all our amazing work!
Year Two Mental Health Week
Year Two have been reflecting on the growth they have noticed in themselves since September. We celebrated physical differences as well as academic differences. Here is a video of the children from September to now and the differences they have reflected on.

Holy Family Anti-Bullying Week 2021
As a School we gathered together at the beginning of the week for our 'Anti Bullying' Assembly. We shared the message #Kindwords! Each class was set a mission to complete for Thursday's celebration assembly together as a whole School. In Year One our mission was to create 'Kind Superheroes'. We researched and shared kind words, role played different scenarios and completed our mission. It was lovely to see some children completing additional work on Anti-Bullying at home too! As a School we gathered together again and celebrated all of our good work in spreading such an important message! Well done Holy Family!
Year Two Anti-Bullying Week
Our anti-bullying mission was to spread kindness throughout school through creatively designing positive words on rocks because kind words rock! We started by painting and designing our rocks. Then we thought of kind words or phrases that we could say to people to make them smile! Finally, to spread our kind words with the rest of the school we placed our rocks outside in the playground for everyone to read. KIND WORDS ROCK!

At Holy Family we participated in the National Literacy Trust's #Take10 for Reading and Wellbeing Event. Each and every member of our school family enjoyed listening to a famous author Tom Percival and then we enjoyed taking 10 minutes to enjoy our favourite books. An event we all enjoyed...sharing our love for Reading.

We all enjoyed exploring, discussing and recognising what that meant to us all and what it could look like. Here is an example of some of the brilliant work, thoughts and feelings produced this week!
